Launching ANGeL Project

The Ministry of Agriculture’s two-year Agriculture, Nutrition, and Gender Linkages (ANGeL) Project was officially launched by the Honorable Minister of Agriculture Matia Chowdhury on October 29, 2015 at the Agricultural Policy Support Unit of the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of Bangladesh.

At the Launching Ceremony, the Policy Research and Strategy Support Program implemented by the International Food Policy Research Institute presented the motivation, project design, sampling, evaluation framework, and implementation process.

The ANGeL Project is a ministry-led randomized controlled trial that seeks to implement and evaluate a combination of alternative modalities on (1) agriculture production, (2) nutrition knowledge, and (3) gender sensitization in 16 districts across Bangladesh.
